Lisa

Lisa pulls from her years of competitive gymnastics, dance training, and 15 + years of yoga study, to teach her students the best that yoga has to offer – intuitive movement, proper alignment, strength and flexibility, mindfulness and breathing, and the balance between striving and letting go. Lisa holds a JD and a Masters in Social Work from Washington University, as well as a BA in Psychology and Spanish from Trinity University.  She received her 200hr yoga certification from Black Swan Yoga and her kid’s yoga certification from The Little Yoga House.  Rainer Maria Rilke gave her one of her favorite quotes: "I want to unfold. I don’t want to stay folded anywhere...”

Amanda

Amanda received her 200hr certification through Practice Yoga. She has been practicing for over a decade and has found yoga to be a lifesaving constant in a world of inevitable highs and lows. She loves to share this practice in hopes it may provide the same comfort and stability to others, regardless of what season of life they may be navigating. Amanda’s classes focus on alignment and breaking down postures to their fundamental shapes, while encouraging self-inquiry through the use of breath work and meditation. By gently building this foundation in class, students develop physical, emotional, and spiritual resiliency and walk away with knowledge and curiosity to enhance their personal practice.

She credits this technology with guiding her through great personal transformation and allowing her to "keep up" with all that life brings her way, and she fully believes that every person can discover tremendous physical, spiritual and emotional benefits through this practice. When Sarah is not teaching yoga, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and her husband, traveling the world, being in nature, and reading and writing nonfiction. Come practice Kundalini Yoga with Sarah every Friday at Noon and find out what it's all about!

Nikita.jpg

Nikita

Nikita was introduced to the physical practice of yoga when she was 16 years old as a supplement to her figure skating training. Over the years, she has explored many interests, such as long-distance running, rock climbing, and coding, and experienced how her yoga practice followed her through each of these interests. Growing up in a Hindu household where she practiced aarthi and mantras daily, she realizes she was introduced to yoga as a lifestyle and meditative practice far before she even knew it. In 2018 she received her 200hr teacher training through Practice Yoga Austin and in 2019 began studying Ashtanga Yoga at Mysore Austin. Her classes and teachings tie together lessons she’s learned through her Ashtanga practice, her teachers in India, and her family.

Expect direct cues, wonderful hands-on-assists, and a good sweat in Kamryn’s classes.

Kaylee+7.jpg

Kaylee

Kaylee discovered the practice of Yoga at the timely age of 9 while exploring ways to complement her love of dance and improve her strength, flexibility, and resiliency. Having dealt with her first bout of anxiety at a young age, the life-changing technology of pranayama (yogic breathing techniques) was a godsend. The moment she experienced her first Savasana, she began to understand the transformative power and nourishing peace of this path. She completed her 200hr Hatha & Flow Yoga teacher training at Yoga Yoga in 2017 and has since diversified her bouquet of knowledge through trainings in Yin, Restorative, Prenatal, Postnatal, and Children’s yoga, as well as through studies of Ayurveda, Vedic Astrology, Tantra, Mythology, & Sound Healing. Kaylee imbues her yoga classes with authenticity, philosophy, foundational alignment and functional movement and encourages students to explore embodiment through playful curiosity, self-compassion, and cultivating meaningful connection between the dynamic aspects of our beings. Can we be present and lean in to whatever arises within us as we move through our yoga practice and our lives? I look forward to breathing and being with you. Namaste

Preston

A native Austinite, Preston was first introduced to meditation before playing a high school football game when he asked his coach, and now long-time mentor, how best to deal with nerves. Preston broke the all-time single game passing yard record that game. Earlier this year, Preston got another poignant lesson in the power of meditation, and the importance of living a mindful and intentional life. Since then, he has become a passionate advocate and practitioner of meditation. Preston's classes reflect his insatiable curiosity for meditation and its many modalities, as well as his love of teaching and sharing a practice that has so meaningfully affected his personal and professional life. His Open Path Meditation offering is wonderful for both long-time meditators those hoping to develop a meditation practice.
